Pulp and Paper

In the Pulp and Paper industry there are literally thousands of pumps, motors, rollers, bearing housing, and shafts that are subject to constant wear, damage and corrosion.

One of the oldest applications for the Brush Plating process is the Pulp and Paper industry.  Direct damages on highly polished Calendar rolls can be repaired in place eliminating the need to remove them which help to minimize downtime losses.Precision build-ups on the ID bearing fits and the cast iron heads of suction rolls are another example of the diversity of the process. Other applications include corrosion protection from chloride gases by utilizing a specially designed gold/rhodium/gold layered coating to protect stators and electrical connections.
